and some instagram outfit details:

I remember in the early days of lookbooking, a lot of people would make fun of outfits taken in the woods - since it seemed so posed or suggested someone got dressed up just to go to the woods instead of doing something "cooler". I've always loved shooting in the wooded areas because A. it often fits the mood, B. I like shooting in secluded areas so I don't have to deal with people questioning why I'm photographing myself, C. it gives me a reason to take some time out and hang out in the woods alone. Unfortunately while shooting these, a group of dudes came up and were lurking, so the whole seclusion part of that plan didn't really work out. It was really nice though to just spend an hour sitting in the woods, especially because everything was fresh with rain.
The title of this post comes from lyrics from the song ragged wood by fleet foxes, which is one of the best bands to listen to while sitting in rain dampened woods alone (something I suggest doing as often as possible)

The photography is amazing! And I love photos taken in the wood ;) X Kirsten
Such pretty outfits Rockie, I love your sense of style towards fashion!
You are so lucky to be able and just go out to the woods whenever you want. I would do that if i had the chance, unfortunately where i live there's no such thing where i live at least not near me. But i totally get you there's nothing better than being outside in the woods and breathing the fresh air, it's so peaceful! Oh and a wonderful outfit, once again!
